DPS2013-14 Winter Weather Information
The decision to keep schools open or to close them during winter weather conditions is not a simple one, but it is made with one overriding factor in mind: the well-being of our students, their families and staff. It is a good idea to decide in advance how to best keep up with the changes, what childcare arrangements are needed, and how to adjust if schools closed due to inclement weather. Detailed DPS winter weather and snow day information, including information on how families can find out if school is closed, can be found on the transportation website transportation website or on the DPS website.
STUDENT SURVEY: Tuesday, January 7th, we will administer the Healthy Kids Survey in all period 2 classes. A “reverse parent consent form” (you send in the form only if you do NOT want your student to participate- Click here to download the form) that we will send home with students next week. We will administer the test in all classes. Although the survey is voluntary, we hope that students will complete it. This way, the results will be the most useful for finding out how health behaviors affect Colorado’s youth. Click here for Frequently Asked Questions about the survey.
