Incoming 9th Graders

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE FAMILIES LIVING WITHIN SOUTH’S NEIGHBORHOOD BOUNDARIES!
All 8th graders who are currently attending DPS had to fill out a choice form  and pick a school for next year.  There were no rollovers to neighborhood schools if you did not choose your neighborhood school on the choice form.   Any parent who is planning on just coming and registering because they live in the neighborhood will be at a disadvantage.  They will not be able to register until 9th grade registration in August.  They will not  be able to receive our mailings with information, and a pre-printed forms as they will not be on our list.  They will not be able to schedule their classes until they come to register in August, as the counselors are not available after May.  IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT SOUTH AND YOU LIVE WITHIN THE NEIGHBORHOOD BOUNDARIES, YOU MUST COME INTO OUR REGISTRATION OFFICE AND FILL OUT A SECOND ROUND CHOICE FORM! We have limited spaces, so hurry in!

Summer Workout Information

Incoming 9th graders interested in athletics have two choices this spring/summer. You can participate in our futures sports programs in the spring. And after the school year ends, you can work out with the high school programs. Click here to see a calendar of futures tryouts and summer workout times.

Gymnastics Team Meeting
Girls' Gymnastics will have a pre-season informational meeting on May 15th at 6:30 in room 173. All girls interested in participating in gymnastics next fall are encouraged to attend.

Futures Tryouts
Denver South will be holding tryouts for our Futures Boys’ Basketball, Girls’ Basketball and Girls’ Volleyball teams. Futures Athletic programs allow incoming 9th graders to play for their high school during a spring/summer season. To participate in tryouts, athletes must bring proof of a current physical, and a signed parent permission slip. Make sure you are dressed to participate and bring a water bottle with you.
